Mererani Graphite Project Moves into Mine Development Phase

MO Graphite Tanzania Limited continues to make significant progress at its Mererani Graphite Project, located within the renowned Mozambique Belt. The project, which commenced in April 2024, has now advanced to the mine development stage, marking a major milestone toward full-scale graphite production.

The early phases of the project focused on detailed geological mapping and outcrop sampling to assess graphite occurrences in exposed rock areas. This was followed by scout drilling, which provided initial data on the continuity and thickness of mineralized zones.

Building on these results, the company carried out resource drilling to establish a comprehensive understanding of the deposit. The drilling data were analyzed for resource estimation, allowing the project team to determine the quantity and quality of graphite with high technical precision.

Following these successful studies, MO Graphite Tanzania Limited developed an economically and technically viable mine plan. The project has since transitioned into mine construction and infrastructure development, setting the foundation for efficient and sustainable graphite production in the near future.

The Mererani Graphite Project is expected to play a vital role in boosting Tanzania’s position in the global graphite market and contribute to local socio-economic development through job creation and industrial growth.
